at Covoya Ltd.
General Description
Covoya Specialty Coffee Europe is a green coffee importer headquartered in Liverpool, UK, but as part of the ofi group we are a fully international operator, not just sourcing coffees from around the world, but selling to the widest range of specialty coffee customers. We love to add value to our partners in origin and to link roasters with top specialty coffees.
We believe specialty coffee is all about relationships, journeys and stories and want to share more of each with roasters all over Europe.
We look for applications for an organised, self-motivated, practical person to join our quality control (QC) team and also be a key contributor to our small bag warehouse operation – ‘Covoya Nano’.
This is a full-time role, based in the Liverpool office and the small warehouse nearby.
The key roles of our quality team are: cupping; sampling & giving great feedback to producers; advice to roasters and really being a central part of our Liverpool office operations.
To go along with this, we are increasingly busy with our ‘Nano’ project – small bags of green coffee distributed from our small warehouse around 1 mile from the office. The project is established and live, and ready for next steps and growth. You will be key in day-to-day operations in terms of packing and distribution, as well as inventory management and other site responsibilities, but further - this is will be an interesting opportunity to get really involved with the sales and ecommerce team as we grow this side of the business.
We envisage a roughly 50/50 time split between QC lab and warehouse duties – although this is not fixed will vary on demand. Both roles require good general fitness and the ability to lift at least 20 kg unaided.
You will have ample opportunity to learn from & contribute to our team of coffee professionals around the world. As part of Covoya, you will be part of a fun and dedicated team across the continent & beyond, learn and train on recognised industry courses, calibrate with our key customers & participate in a real global coffee team.
